Violeta “Violy” Paet, 82, of Castillejos, Zambales, Philippines, passed away peacefully
surrounded by family in Virginia Beach, VA on January 20, 2026. Born on January 12, 1944, Violy was a beacon of strength, love, and resilience. She was the daughter of the late Calixto Velasco and Anacleta Ragadio. She was the second oldest daughter of four siblings, the late Evangelina Juinio, Flordeliza Lorenzo, and Ben Velasco. Violy found immense joy in serving the Lord and dedicated her life to her family. She was a loving grandmother who adored her three grandchildren, as well as multiple nieces, nephews, and their children. She was a long-time standing member of St. Matthew’s Catholic Church where she enjoyed singing in the choir for more than ten years. Violy also enjoyed spending time at bible study and going out sightseeing with her close friends. Violy loved cooking, listening to music, and was an avid potted plant gardener of both flowers and vegetables of all sorts.
Violy is survived by her three children, Mitchelledane, Danjun and his wife, Jennifer and their son Mateo, and Danette and her husband, Marvin and their two kids, Marvin and Maya. Violy was preceded in death by her husband, Dominador Paet, whom she was married to for thirty years.
Violy will forever be remembered for her smile and kind heart. Violy’s final resting place
will be in the Philippines with her husband in Castillejos, Zambales.
