Grady Colston Ingram Jr., age 75, of Chesapeake, Virginia, passed away peacefully on June 15, 2026, after a short period of illness.

Born on September 22, 1950, in Norfolk, Virginia, to the late Grady C. Ingram Sr. and Lucy A. Ingram, Grady lived a life marked by dedication, kindness, and love for those around him. He graduated from Booker T. Washington High School in 1969 and spent many years working as a car salesperson, later retiring as a finance manager from Freedom Ford Automotive Dealership. Through his work and personal life, he earned the respect and friendship of many.

Grady accepted Christ at an early age, was baptized again in 1955, and became a devoted member of Historic First Baptist Church (FBC) Bute Street. He served faithfully on the Male Usher Board, the Men’s Ministry, the Young Adult Choir, the Voices of Unity Choir, and was also a member of the FBC Combined Choir.

Grady was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, uncle, and friend. He shared twenty‑seven  wonderful years of marriage with his beloved wife, Eunice Ingram. Together, with family and friends, they built a life filled with love, laughter, and cherished memories.

Grady was preceded in death by his parents, Grady Sr. and Lucy Ingram; his son, Michael Ingram; two sisters, Juanita Shannon and Jeanette Robinson; and two brothers, Jonathan Ingram and Stanley Ingram. He is survived by his wife, Eunice; his children, Grady Ingram III and Keisha Ingram; his bonus children, Andre’ Perry and Shauneille Perry‑Wallace; his brother, William Ingram (Ann); his grandchildren, Kevin Mayo Jr. and Teona Ingram; a bonus grandchild, Paul Wallace Jr.; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives, church family, and dear friends.

Grady enjoyed fishing, completing the daily crossword puzzles in the Virginian‑Pilot newspaper, and watching all sports on TV. Above all, he was a True‑Blue (and silver) Dallas Cowboys football fan and did not tolerate anyone bashing his team. Though he will be deeply missed, his love and spirit will remain in our hearts forever.
