Jimmy Roscoe Parker Obituary

Jimmy Roscoe Parker, 67, died peacefully on December 5, 2018.  He was a long-time resident of Virginia Beach and a graduate of Kempsville High School. Jimmy was a skilled carpenter who worked at Portsmouth Naval Shipyard for many years.  He was the second of five children born to the late Forrest and Helen Parker.  Jimmy was a self-proclaimed “Momma’s Boy”, who lovingly cared for his mother until her death in 2014.  Shortly thereafter, he relocated to the Sullivan House, Virginia Beach, where he is remembered as a consummate gentleman with a kind spirit.  Jimmy was a long-time member of Carrow Baptist Church, an avid fisherman, who loved God and family.

Left cherishing his memory are his siblings:  Gay Allen and her husband Don, Deborah McGowan and Jerry Parker and his wife Beth. He will also be missed by host of nieces, nephews and loving friends and family.
