Bill "Bill" Ganley Obituary

William (Bill) Ganley, 82, of Virginia Beach passed away peacefully at home on May 7, 2021 following a brief illness. A loving father and grandfather he is survived by his wife Kris, daughter Colleen Mikolashek, son-in-law Jon Mikolashek, and three grandchildren in addition to his siblings, Linda Gonzalez of Daytona Beach, Florida, Alice Swope of Oceana, California, Madeline Abbitt of Appomattox, Virginia, Ruth Hirsch of Scottsdale, Arizona, Jack Ganley of Frederick, Maryland, Joseph Ganley of Frederick, Maryland and Mark Ganley of Hampton, Virginia. He was preceded in death by his daughter Melissa Ganley, and his brother, Dr. James Ganley.

Bill grew up in Frederick, Maryland and graduated from the University of Maryland. He worked as a computer specialist for the Federal Milk Market Administrators Office until his retirement in 2004. He enjoyed reading, golfing, and spending time with his grandchildren.
