Tony Washington entered his eternal rest on August 18, 2021. He was born on December 10, 1959 in Norfolk, VA to the late Robert Lee Washington Sr & Louella Washington. He attended Deep Creek High School and went on to work 30+ years at Valianos Grading & Clearing. He was a real people person who worked hard and loved his family. Tony was a truly caring man with many titles: such as Big Tony, Daddy, Granddaddy, Uncle Tony, and Snake. He loved to ‘boogie’ while listening to Michael Jackson and Kool & The Gang, which were his favorite artist.
He was a lovable person, and many have precious memories of him. Those left to cherish those precious memories of him are his first love Cassandra D. Smith; two children, Anthony T. Smith [Juniett E. Alvarez] and Ashley C. Smith; one granddaughter, Sasha A. Smith-Alvarez; his ten siblings, Wesley J. Washington (the late Abby Washington), Loyide L. Washington (Jackie Washington), Anner Sue Mayfield (Donnell Mayfield), Gay Garris, Angeline Cuffee (the late Allen Cuffee Sr.), Micheal Washington, Jeremiah Washington (Serena Washington), Christopher Washington, Gilda Washington, Abie Washington; brother-in-law Tyrone Trotter (the late Clementine Trotter); two aunts, Omelia Fenner and Shirley Street; one uncle, Herman Jenkins.
He was preceded in death by his mother and father Robert Lee Washington Sr. & Louella Washington; brother, Robert Lee Washington Jr.; sister, Clementine Trotter; sister-in-law, Abby Washington; and brother-in-law, Allen Cuffee Sr. He also leaves a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Tony was well loved and will sincerely be missed.
