Larry Donnell Jenkins, Jr. went home to Jesus on August 21, 2022, at age 46.
Larry was born on December 10, 1975, in Norfolk, Virginia. As a child, he loved to sing and always had a natural talent for it. Throughout his life he touched countless people with his beautiful voice.
Larry met his wife, Carrol in 2010 while they were working for the same employer. They married one-year later on May 21, 2011. Together they had nine children, Larry, Joseph, Jerel, Aisha, Dajuan, Deja, Shaytorie, Kane, and Faith.
In addition to being a dedicated and loving husband, father, and grandfather, Larry also loved singing and producing music, going on cruises with his wife, and spending quality time with his family. His family was always his number one priority. Larry also held an unwavering faith in God, which he shared with everyone he came in contact with.
Larry and his wife spent the last 13 years dedicating themselves to caring for seniors in a home. Larry felt that each resident was a special assignment from God and took great joy in nursing them until they were called home.
He was also the leader of Psalms 91, a Christian singing group that produced many wonderful songs. He spent countless hours writing and producing songs for the group. He was dedicated to his group and focused on helping them learn their strengths.
He is survived by his parents, Vergie and Daniel Griffin and Larry Jenkins, Sr., his wife, Carrol, his children, Larry, Joseph, Jerel, Aisha, Deja, Dajuan, Shaytorie, Kane, and Faith, his sister, LaTonia, his brother, Levon and his 23 grandchildren.
