With a broken heart, our family announces the passing of our beloved Thang Viet Nguyen. He was born on December 12, 1948 in Vietnam. He departed this life on Saturday, January 25, 2020 during the Lunar New Year celebrations at home due to Lou Gehrig’s Disease (ALS).

He is survived by his spouse, Ngo Kim Nguyen, his children, Bang Nguyen, Lien Nguyen, Yen Mydlowski, and Martin Mydlowski, and grandchildren, Byden Nguyen, Logan Nguyen, Ben Nguyen, Sean Mydlowski, and Will Mydlowski.

He worked for Busch Air Conditioning Manufacturer for 15 years and retired in 2014. He also owned an alteration store, T&K Tailors, in Virginia Beach for 16 years and loved every one of his customers.

He was an amazing, kind, loving husband, father, grandfather, and friend. We can’t think of one moment where he didn’t put someone else (even strangers) above himself. Every memory of him that we have of him is of him smiling and laughing. He dedicated his whole life to making a happy home for his family and he succeed. Our family life is a happy one. We are blessed and the luckiest family in the world to have had him for 71 years.
