Joshua Lynn Stone, age 34 passed away on July 5, 2016 from a heart attack. Josh had recently been in a car accident where he had to have surgery on his heart and it must have put strain on his heart. Josh’s love of his life was his son Gabe. Gabe was his “Lil Man” We know that Josh would do anything for his son. He was a good son to Teresa(Gray) and Floyd “Alvin” Stone, brother to the late Jeremy Stone. Josh loved life and family, many of his close friends he called family so his family was large. Josh grew up in Ocean View area of Norfolk. He was a lover of the ocean and the beach. As a child he spent most of his time with his brother Jeremy at the water front. It was their playground. When he became a man he went to the sea with his dad Alvin to become a fisherman, scallops to be more precise. Josh will be missed by his parents, son, aunts and uncles and many many friends. He leaves behind his parents, Teresa and Alvin, his son Gabe, his aunts Susan Stone, Sandy Kennard Lisa Gray Goodell (Thomas), Shelly Gray (Gerald Harlow), Brenda Parker Richotte (Brad), his uncle Donald Gray. His first cousins, Donald, Kristina, Brandy, Amanda, Raymond, Bobbie, David, Gary, Racheal, Mark, Britanna, Michael. He will also be missed by his only nephew Ryan Stone. The other two we need to mention because Josh always considered them his sisters are Mishelle and Diana (Wallace)
All will remember his wonderful smile and sparkling eyes when he was excited about something, which he always had when near his son Gabe.
Until we meet again Josh… you are loved and will be missed by many.
We will all meet together to see Josh one last time from 5 to 7pm on Tuesday July 12, 2016 to share pictures and memories. At the Walton Funeral Home located 2701 Holland Virginia Beach VA 23456.
