Obituary of Jabari Yaphet Reynolds

Jabari Yaphet Reynolds, (“Ish”, “Bari”, “Blu”, “Bud”), was born on May 14th, 1985, in Virginia Beach, Virginia. Jabari passed away on September 17th, 2020 at the age of 35. He will be lovingly remembered by his parents Pastor Heartsille “Bones” and Debbie Reynolds, his brothers Akin Reynolds and Alston Gumbs, his sister Sharifa Reynolds, his sons Malachi, Isaiah, and Graeson Reynolds, along with numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. Jabari grew up in Virginia Beach where he graduated from Tallwood High School. Jabari was a very loving person who always had a mischievous glint in his eye. He had a smile that lit up a room and was always known to be the life of the party. He was always one to try to get a laugh out of people, and most of the time he succeeded. Jabari was happiest when he was hanging with his friends or spending time playing on his Xbox with his son. Jabari leaves behind three boys who he loved dearly. One thing about him was that he loved to be a father. He and his oldest son, Malachi, used to bond over their shared interests. The antics of his two youngest, Isaiah and Graeson, would always bring a smile to his face. He was always one to brag about his boys and anyone who met him knew how much he loved them. Jabari was an avid football fan. You could always find him decked out in his Raiders gear. He also was a member of the Sand Lions sand football team. He definitely was a power house on the field and was said to be the heart of the team. Not only was he a great teammate on the field, he was a great coworker in the kitchen. Jabari was a dependable worker who would always help you out in a bind and still gets his job done. His presence here with us is already missed immensely, but his spirit remains with us forever.
