My name is Tamika Evans Ellis. I worked at Hope Haven Adult Home as a medication aide/RN. Birdie was a resident there for several years. She was the best resident ever. She was always up to eat breakfast and participated in activities available for seniors at the facility. Birdie was always too youthful to me to be in such a place but she faired well until its closing. I decided to look for Birdie's name on the internet because I have been contacting past healthcare workers to check on them and I considered Birdie a nurse even while living at the facility. She loved being a nurse and if something medically had happened to me unexpectedly at Hope Haven, I have no doubt that Birdie would keep me alive. She told me about her life as a travel nurse and her departure from home to fulfill her career duties. Her daughter would fuss over her making sure that she was ok at the facility along with her talented piano playing sister. She and Catherine were best of friends at Hope Haven Adult Home and Birdie promised her that she would be there for her if she was ever admitted to a home care facility like Hope Haven and they were my joy there. May God comfort the family
When all God's children get to Heaven, what a time, what a time, what a time.
Dear Dorina and the rest of my family. We know that Birdie is rejoicing with the Lord. Her work was completed down here. We will miss her, but in time will remember the wonderful times that we shared with her.
Love you all, Jackie and Natalie
