Obituary of Barry Taylor

William Barry Taylor, 68, of Virginia Beach Virginia passed away suddenly at his home on Tuesday Nov 9, 2021. Barry was born on April 21, 1953 in Coatesville Pennsylvania. He attended Coatesville Area High school, graduating in 1971. Barry joined the United Stated Marine Corp and served proudly, retiring at the rank Sargent. Following military service, he moved to Virginia Beach and took a job at General Foam Plastics as a shipping and receiving Supervisor. Barry remained at General Foam Plastics until the company ceased operation in 2018. Barry enjoyed gardening, trips to the beach, military history, particularly civil war area, and spending time with his beloved wife. He also loved having his family and friends visit in the summer and taking them to the beach, and Water County USA. He had a special infinity for Busch Gardens, where he loved the thrill of all the Rides. Barry took great interest in his family's geology and cherished all he discovered. Barry will be missed by all that knew him and his memory will be cherished, especially his sense of humor and love for his family. He is survived by his wife of 35 years JoAnn, his brother Jim Taylor(Elsa) of Pennsylvania. Nieces, Susanne Taylor, Stephanie Rice, Sharon Blake, Johanna Farra. Nephews Josie Guldan, Josiah Guldan. He will also be missed by his fur babies he loved more than anything his Dog Sugar and Cat Punkin. Barry is preceded in death by his sister Eleanore McChesney. A private memorial service will be held at a later date.
