Obituary of Bonnie Kellar

Please share a memory of Bonnie to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

Bonnie May Kellar (nee Kelley), 68, of Chesapeake, Virginia, passed away peacefully on August 24th, 2022  holding the hand of her loving husband of 42 years, Paul Raymond Kellar. She was predeceased by her parents, Edgar Brady and Anna Virginia (nee Hazel) Kelley, her sister June Pritchard), and her brother (George Kelley Jr).

Bonnie was deeply involved in her local community.  She was a member of Moose Lodge #898 (Portsmouth Lodge) and spent many years raising money for charities including breast cancer research and healthy babies with the Moose Lodge and the March of Dimes. With her husband Paul, she rode for over a decade in the annual Rolling Thunder motorcycle rally in Washington DC in support of service members abandoned after the Vietnam war. She also was an avid supporter of numerous local bands in Hampton Roads, handling their booking arrangements and doing much of the behind-the-scenes work.

Bonnie is survived by her husband Paul Kellar, numerous nieces and nephews (including Donna Pritchard, Don Baltrush, Ray Pritchard Jr.), and a host of loving family and friends.  In lieu of flowers please consider making a donation in her memory to an organization that supports breast cancer research and prevention.
