Obituary of Debra Dale Frenia

Debra Dale Frenia, 70, of Virginia Beach, Virginia ascended home to heaven on Saturday, June 17, 2023, at Sentara Leigh Hospital in Norfolk, Virginia.

Debra was born on January 6, 1953, to William Potvin, Jr. and Edith Potvin in Lowell, Massachusetts. She moved to Virginia Beach in 1973 and attended cosmetology school. Debra prided herself on being a fiercely protective mother, placing her children above all else. She was also a supportive and loving wife. She cherished any moment she could spend with her grandchildren and spoiled them in any way she could. Most importantly, she loved with all her heart. She enjoyed knitting and was active in local knitting groups.

Debra was predeceased by her father, William Potvin, Jr., and mother, Edith Potvin. She is survived by her loving husband Martie; children: Cheryl Decker, Holly (Andrew) Miller, and Taylor (Leia) Frenia; grandchildren: Aiden Miller, Kade Miller, and Bryson Frenia; and siblings: Bill Potvin and Sandy Potvin, as well as her massive stash of yarn.

A graveside service will be held at Colonial Grove Memorial Park in Virginia Beach, Virginia at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, June 27, 2023, provided by Father Robert Cole.
