Macrina “Rina” Holman of Virginia Beach, Virginia, passed away on June 29th, 2023, at the age of 71. God called her home after many years of battling congenital heart issues as she was surrounded by loved ones during her final moments and went peacefully. Rina was born on January 14th, 1952 in San Miguel Tarlac, Philippines, and migrated to the United States in 1979 as a U.S. Navy spouse.

Rina was passionate about family and the idea that we should always be good to one another. She was known for always helping anyone in need, and through the years many close friends grew into an extension of her family. Rina was also passionate about food and the ability that it had to bring everyone together. If you knew Rina you loved Rina.

Rina was known for her unflappable work ethic and integrity. She exemplified these traits in her 30-year career with the Navy Exchange as a Loss Prevention Professional.

Rina is survived by her Husband, Donald Holman, of Tucson, Arizona; Her 3 Children and their spouses, Jasen Holman (son) and Lacey Dement of Bradenton, Florida, Maria Clark (daughter) and Donald Clark of Virginia Beach, Virginia, and Derik Holman (son) and Holly Holman of Ewa Beach, Hawai’i; and her six Grandchildren, Aaron Clark, Jacob Clark, Ember Clark, Alyssa Dement, Caleb Dement, and Karsten Holman.
