Obituary of Dawn Maria McCullough

Please share a memory of Dawn to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

Dawn Maria McCullough, 52, born November 11, 1970, the second eldest child, went to be with the Lord on September 7, 2023, in her home surrounded by her loving family.  Our Lord took her into his arms after fighting a long battle with cancer. She is now at peace and had a happy homecoming, welcomed by her baby sister Danyely. Like the scripture in II Timothy says, she fought the good fight, she finished the race, and she kept the faith.

Dawnie was born and raised in Virginia Beach, VA.  As an adult her career began in the time share industry and then as a property manager before her love of travel led her to finding her true calling, working as a flight attendant.  She was a flight attendant with Continental & then United Airlines until she was unable to serve them any longer due to her cancer diagnosis. She loved the jetsetter lifestyle and took full advantage of the opportunities that her job afforded her, to include numerous family vacations both here and abroad…from tourist traps to exotic destinations.  She truly got to see the world and was proud to share those experiences with her family.

She was as comfortable being in sweatpants as she was getting “glammed up” to the nines. No matter what Dawnie did, good or bad, she did it with intensity and to the extreme….from napping, to working out, from binge watching movies,  to rocking out front stage to her absolute favorite band, Breaking Benjamin.

Her spirit lives on through her husband Freddy McCullough, daughter Ashton McCullough; parents Pastors Vinny and Jan Losciale; mother-in-law Elisa McCullough; sister Tammy Forbes and husband Brian, brother Micah Losciale and wife Tess; grandchildren Isabella Collins and Cooper Collins; nieces, Micah Berger and husband Chris, Skylar Losciale, Cayden Liverman; nephews;  Brett Forbes and Colton Losciale; great nephews; Keller Berger and Wylder Berger, and Hayden Forbes; aunts; Kim Cameron, Harriet Fanney, Betty Kircher, and Rita Wharton and numerous cousins, countless friends, & her beloved “United Fly Girls”.
