My name is Laura Pannell, I am the former Maintenance Lady at the community where Ms. Sheila lived. That was my girl! I would stop by to visit her from time to time. When she needed repairs done she was always so patient with me. We would sit and talk for hours. One day she told me her family took her car keys and she was upset about it. Then, the next time I saw her, she was getting in the car going somewhere. I stopped in my golf cart and said "Ms. Sheila, where you think you going? I thought you wasn't supposed to be driving." She said "This my car and I'm grown" lol I said "well go ahead with your bad self and be careful." I'm going to miss her. My condolences to her family and friends!

Our OES Sister was soft spoken, very friendly, willing to assist in any activity, even when she had problems with her feet, she ventured on to attend our meetings.
Sheila was very personal for she would surprise us with a visit every so often even after she couldn't drive, had a friend to drive her over to see us.
We Sincerely will miss her presence.

Shiela my sister, my best friend, my go to person when I needed someone to talk to. I didn’t know…I didn’t know that you had passed. I spoke to you the last part of November; we talked and laughed just like we have always done and in a blink of an eye my buddy is gone home. Mrs. Monroe was a faithful member of New Calvary Baptist Church. I served with her on the Usher Board and we both were members of the Golden Ages Ministry. Mrs. Monroe always greeted me with a smile and kind words. May she rest in peace.
