April Diane Hargett, 56, of Virginia Beach, VA, passed away on November 21, 2024. Born on November 5, 1968, in Albemarle, NC, April was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend.

April is survived by her loving husband, Scott Hargett; her cherished children, Caleb (and his wife, Krista) and Jacob; and her adored grandson, Theo. She is also survived by her mother, Diane Lunsford; her siblings, Johnny Hazelwood, Pete Hazelwood, Bryan Hazelwood, Kurt Lunsford, Eddie Fraley, Vanessa Bragg, Jennifer Furr, and Tina Herne; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and extended family members. April was preceded in death by her father, John Hazelwood.

April will be remembered for her love of children, and how she was open-minded but stubborn to a fault. Her warmth brightened the lives of all around her, and her memory will forever be cherished.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to the National MS Society in April's memory.

April’s legacy of love, kindness, and strength will continue to live on in the hearts of her family and friends.
