James Oliver Giles, Jr. of Norfolk, VA passed away on December 8, 2024 in Norfolk, VA.  

James was born in Norfolk, VA to James Oliver Giles, Sr. and Sharron Giles Dansby on January 24, 1972. He graduated from Indian River High School Class of 1991, was employed by TBN Associates, and a member of the International Association of Heat and Furnace Insulators.

James is survived by his father James Giles Sr. of Newport News, VA; mother Sharron Dansby (Charles) of Upper Marlboro, MD; eight children (all Giles): Daysha, James Jr., Jaimela, Jaylon, Asiyana, Jamari, Jaliyah, and Jamison; grandsons Osaris Giles and Jevario Cooke; sisters Antoinelle Hansley of Waldorf, MD, Amy Barrington (Reno) of Portsmouth VA and Lisa Durham of Norfolk, VA; a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and friends including Sheena Ratcliff, Nicole Liggins, Rachel Giles, Tenesha White, and Terecia Adkinson. James is preceded in death by his brother Philip Lamont Giles of Brooklyn, NY. and lifetime friend Angela Hoskie of Norfolk, VA.
