Obituary of Bradford Perry Lamont Sherwood

Bradford Perry Lamont Sherwood, 42 departed this life on February 11, 2019 surrounded by his family and friends."Brad" as he was affectionately known, was a native of Philadelphia, born on July 2, 1976 to Tonya Renee Sherwood and the late Governor Perry Long Jr. 

At the age of seven, Bradford moved to Virginia Beach where he graduated Green Run High School and began a successful career as a barber.   

Bradford was a devoted husband, father and son who loved his family above all.  He will be remembered as a skilled barber who enjoyed cutting hair, working on cars, telling jokes, hanging out with friends, but most of all he liked spending time with his mother.

Bradford is survived by his loving wife, Katrina Sherwood, his parents Tonya Renee Giles and Prince Griffin Giles Jr.  He is the father of Raquan Sherwood, Tyriek Sherwood, Shammon Sherwood, Ahmon Sherwood, Shyaria Sherwood, Milani Miles, Desarie Smith, Hezekiah Smith, Maliek Carter and Daijene Davis.  Brad is grandfather to; Raquan Sherwood Jr., Payton Sherwood, Rahmir Sherwood and Tyriek Sherwood Jr. He will also be missed by his brothers; Governor Dennis, Idrees Dennis, and Prince Griffin Giles III. His grandparents Mary Helen Franks, Helen Giles, and James Jones. Aunts; Towanda Taylor, Darlene Sessions (Ernest), Dawn Franks, Carla Franks, Vereitta McSadder, Babbette Mosby, Kendall M. Cambell and Mary Helen Shipp.  Uncles; Bradford Long,  Kennoris Giles, Mark Sessions and Gerald Giles. Also left cherishing his memory are his great aunt Shirley Sherwood, and a host of other relatives and devoted friends.
