I was Karen's roommate for 3 years at Ithaca College. The last time I saw her was at her wedding to a Navy man in Virginia. Finally found her. :( Join in honoring their life - plant a memorial tree

Derek, I worked with your mother at the VBDPH, she was a wonderful person and friend. She worked hard to help anyone who was in need. I will always be thankful to have worked with such a warm and loving person. She often talked about you and she is missed deeply by so many. My prayers are with you and the family. Take care of all her animals that she cared so much for.

Karen was a force of nature. I worked with Karen in Norfolk. She was such an advocate for children and families. I will miss her and her sense of humor. She called me recently and we were able to catch up and share some laughs. I’m so glad we had that opportunity. She loved you, Derek and was so proud of you. She will be missed.

Karen always had a fun outlook on life. She was always so supportive of mom and brought her so much love. We so enjoyed all the laughs we had and I will never be able to hear the name Blanche without thinking of her calling mom that name. So many prayers for the family, I hope you still feel her love and support, love never leaves. So much love to you.
