Obituary of Ferdinand Mendoza

Please share a memory of Ferdinand to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

On Friday, August 9, 2019, Ferdinand A. Mendoza “Ferdie”, passed away at the age of 52. Ferdie was born in Pampanga, Philippines on June 24th, 1967. He immigrated to Virginia Beach, VA in the late 80’s along with many of his siblings. He was a loving father of two children, humorous little brother, and fun uncle. He lived an interesting life with many ups and downs. But through it all, he prevailed and lived his life fully without a care. Through all his trials, he still had the heart of a child and saw the good in all. He provided many enjoyable memories for his family like planning trips to Busch Gardens, swimming at the beach, and throwing the best family parties. He loved the ocean and enjoyed swimming, crabbing, and fishing. He also loved watching movies and would rent movies at the local blockbuster with his children and they would watch 3-5 movies a night. He lived for the simple things in life. He was known for his positive attitude, humming during work, and day dreaming. He really did live his life to the fullest and really enjoyed sharing his joy with others. Rest in peace, Ferdie, and we all hope you are laughing and free.
