I had the immense honor and privilege of working with Luke for many years at CONAVAIRLANT and while I was at Marine Forces Command as well. Consummate professional. The Gates of heaven are surely guarded by at least one more United States Marine! Condolences to the entire family--Luke was one of the finest. Remember it was in Maintenance Control, 1982, then CWO2 Crouson walked up to me, a newly promoted Sgt and said, “Let’s talk”. 30 minutes later, he convinced me to reenlist for the very first time. I have never forgotten his motivating ways of getting the best out of people. Sir, you are one of my all time favorite Marine, Semper Fidelis!
I had the pleasure of working with Luke during his days at COMNAVAIRLANT and my days at MCAS Cherry Point Fleet Support. I know of no individual more dedicated to the Warfighter. Well Done Good and Faithful Servant.
