I am sending my most heartfelt condolences to the Calhoun family, especially to Vy who was an NCHS Class of 1970 classmate of mine. It seems that no matter what age we are, losing a parent is a special sorrow that is felt deeply. May family and friends be comforted by the many shared memories of happier times.

Mr. Calhoun was my religion education teacher for many years at St. Mary's Catholic Church. He and his three sons also played tennis at Barraud Park for many summers with my Dad and his three sons. Those were some great years for all of us that I will always remember fondly. I will also remember with great fondness and appreciation Mr. Calhoun--a very kind, devoted, and honorable man. May God bless him always. My condolences to his family.
Although it has been a number of years since I have had the pleasure of seeing my colleague, my friend, Clarence, I am saddened by his passing. A fine educator, honest, trustworthy, and a man of integrity, he will be mourned, missed, and never forgotten.
